| Sammutitko kahvinkeittimen? | Did you turn off the coffee maker? |
| Anna puuron hautua kattilassa. | Let the porridge simmer in the pot. |
| Kuumenna ruokalusikallinen öljyä paistinpannulla. | Heat up a tablespoon of oil in the frying pan. |
| Kaada pasta lävikköön. | Pour the pasta into the colander. |
| Anna teen hautua teepannussa viisi minuuttia. | Let the tea brew in the teapot for 5 minutes. |
| Minä tarvitsen haarukan. | I need a fork. |
| Haluan syödä haarukalla ja veitsellä. | I want to eat with a fork and knife. |
| Saisinko lusikan? | Could I have a spoon, please? |
| Onko tämä kulho tarpeeksi iso? | Is this bowl big enough? |
| Hakisitko minullekin lautasen? | Could you get me a plate, too, please? |
| Kuppi kahvia kuulostaa hyvältä! | A cup of coffee sounds good! |
| Saisinko lasin vettä? | Could I have a glass of water, please? |
| Haluaisin ostaa sellaisen puisen leikkuulaudan. | I’d like to buy one of those wooden chopping boards. |
| Käytä leipäveistä! | Use the bread knife! |
| Lisää ruokalusikallinen sokeria. | Add a tablespoonful of sugar. |
| Lisää teelusikallinen suolaa. | Add a teaspoonful of salt. |
| En löydä tiskiharjaa. Missä se on? | I can’t find the dish brush. Where is it? |
| Tarvitsen isomman uunivuoan. | I need a bigger oven dish. |
| Laita leivinpaperi uunipellille. | Put the baking paper on the oven tray. |
| Onko tämä sopiva kakkuvuoka? | Is this a suitable cake tin? |
| Tarvitsen kauhan keittoa varten. | I need a ladle for the soup. |
