How to ask "Do you...?" questions in Finnish

So, you want to ask someone “Do you live in Helsinki?” in Finnish.

First, you need to know how to make a statement: “You live in Helsinki.” That is Sinä asut Helsingissä.

Then, you have to add something to the verb. The verb in my example is asut. Add –ko to the end of it. You’ll have asutko.

Now, move that to the beginning of the sentence and add a question mark: Asutko sinä Helsingissä?

There you go, you have made a closed question in Finnish!
